HIV & STIs Transmission

Sexual contact
HIV and STIs can transmit through oral, vaginal and anal sex. 
 
Blood contact
HIV and STIs can be transmitted through needle-sharing and transfusion of contaminated blood and blood products.
 
Mother-to-child transmission
Infected mothers can transmit the virus to their babies during pregnancy, delivery and breastfeeding.

The following are not common routes of HIV & STIs transmission:
1.Mosquito or insect bites
2.Social contacts (share utensils, hug or shake hands)
3.Share toilet seats or swimming pool
4.Saliva contact
5.Washing clothes together (clothes should be washed separately if you have lice.)
